I have been told that the year 2022, unlike me, was not mushroom-loving. Diagnosis: TOO HOT (just like you;) ). Still, mushroom season is upon us and collecting mushrooms is now one of my favorite things to do in autumn time. You can wander through the forest like a fairy and pick delicious delicacies like black trumpets, crab brittlegills and charcoal burners and all the other lovely sounding species. If you just got the urge to transform yourself into a budding mycophile, we have you covered with a comprehensive mushroom guide including all the tips and tricks to easily recognize edible mushrooms.
Ditch the sneakers for once and put on some solid footwear instead. While mushroom picking is very relaxing and calming, you'll also have to go through dense forest patches and on uneven ground, so wear off-road-safe footwear.
Mushrooms like to be stored in an open container. A wicker basket is ideal, as it allows enough air through, plus it looks pretty. Plastic bags are a no-no, your mushrooms will get sweaty, lose protein, mold and become inedible.
Cut off or twist off? Mushroom experts argue about the best method. Both are supposed to preserve the mushroom so that it can grow back quickly after harvesting. However, WSL, the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research, found no difference between the two methods in a long-term study. Take a knife with you anyway, you can use it to remove mushrooms more easily, scrape off dirt or carve a nice walking stick.
Not everyone can have as great a mushroom knowledge as Grandma Ron. But then again what's the point of thinking for yourself these days if you have a cell phone? There are countless mushroom apps that help you in your hunt. Almost all of them have an extensive encyclopedia with which you can compare the mushrooms you find. Some even have photo recognition. My personal favorite is Myco, which is an app that doesn't fool you into thinking it has photo recognition, but works with a detailed categorization of mushrooms.
Mushrooms: where and when?
Even though mushroom experts argue about whether to cut or twist off - they all agree on one thing: do not ever reveal your best mushroom locations. Even Grandma Ron kept her best spots a secret from me. Fortunately, mushrooms grow just about everywhere, so just choose a random forest patch and start collecting. Uetliberg, Höggerberg, Käferberg, Züriberg or Adlisberg are all great locations where finding mushrooms should be easy-peasy. A general rule of thumb: the more secluded the place, the higher your chances to find mushrooms. But don't worry, you can even find some at the Sihlfeld cemetery.
Legend holds you should go hunting early in the morning, but in reality, mushrooms grow around the clock and they don't care if you pick them in the morning or evening. Of course, if you are an early bird though, you have higher chances to beat your fellow mushroom hunters to it.
If you are not an expert or don't want to stomp through the forest with an encyclopedia, you can stick to the mushrooms listed below. Absolute beginners can also focus on boletes, they have caps with a spongy underside, and they are almost all edible. Nevertheless, you should always have your mushrooms examined by the city's mushroom inspector. They will check which species of mushrooms you have collected and which of them are edible. You can find more useful information at Vapko, the association of official mushroom inspectors in Switzerland. Piece of wisdom: only eat what you know.

Principles of Analyzing Football Betting Odds
2.1 Choose a Reliable Bookmaker
Currently, there are many different bookmakers in the football betting market. However, it's essential to select reputable bookmakers that provide a wide range of betting options, offer quick odds updates, have user-friendly betting interfaces, and facilitate fast deposits and withdrawals. Additionally, the odds offered by the bookmaker should be competitive compared to other bookmakers.
In summary, understanding betting odds is a critical concept you need to grasp when participating in football betting. We hope this article has provided you with specific insights into different types of betting odds offered by bookmakers and how to accurately analyze them. By doing so, you can increase your chances of winning bets and minimize risks when placing wagers.
2.2 Survey the Displayed Betting Odds
Bookmakers often provide betting odds for matches several days in advance, usually ranging from 5 to 7 days before the game. At the same time, bettors can place wagers even after the match has started. However, these odds fluctuate based on the volume of bets placed on different outcomes. A valuable tip for successful betting is to visit the bookmaker's site frequently to check the most up-to-date odds.
2.3 Understand Betting Odds Information
When engaging in football betting, you must understand how to read and interpret the odds offered by bookmakers, especially in handicap or over/under (Total Goals) betting, which can be more intricate compared to the Asian Handicap betting. Therefore, your first task is to research these different betting odds, understand how to read them, and analyze them before making your bets.

Information about both teams playing.
Head-to-head history between the two teams.
Predictions and insights from bookmaker experts.
Effective Betting Odds Analysis Tips
Bear in mind that analyzing football betting odds accurately isn't something you can master overnight. Therefore, here are some tips to enhance your odds analysis:
Evaluate the odds reasonably to avoid falling into bookmakers' traps. Pay special attention to odds with high potential returns, as they are often more challenging to win, particularly for novice bettors. Exercise caution and avoid excessive risk-taking when betting on such odds.
Research match information before analyzing odds and placing bets. Consider factors such as starting lineups, team styles, form, head-to-head records, and tournament characteristics. In-depth analysis will help you make informed betting choices.
Focus on matches for which bookmakers have recently released odds. This is when odds are less volatile, and you can gather more objective assessments with higher accuracy. Avoid analyzing odds close to match kick-off, as bookmakers often employ various tactics to confuse bettors during this period.

Over 144,000 private homes in Ukraine have been damaged so far by Russia's brutal war of aggression. And, unfortunately, more and more are being damaged every day. Windows have been broken particularly frequently, as they burst even in distant explosions due to the resulting shock waves.
Before the arrival of winter, we would like to bring as many windows as possible to Ukraine so that they can be quickly installed there and people do not have to freeze in their homes. After all, winters in Ukraine are usually long and cold.
While prices for building materials in Ukraine have skyrocketed since the Russian invasion, thousands of high-quality used windows are disposed of in Switzerland every year.
In close partnership with the Basel-based association RE-WIN, we collect these used but still fully functional windows in Switzerland and bring them to Ukraine in the spirit of the circular economy. There, the windows are then quickly installed.
Libereco is recognized as a non-profit organization and will gladly provide all crowdfunders from Switzerland and Liechtenstein with a donation receipt for their tax return for their contribution to the window transports.
