My name is Facundo, I am 35 years young and I have been working in the Kabooom Comic Shop since March 2016. I already helped out in the shop since 2012 and got the chance to work here as a full-time employee in 2016.
Do you look like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons? Do you know as much as he does? And are you so condescending to your customers?
I have a beard and long hair, but hopefully the similarities stop there :) And yes, if you don't know at least as much as I do, you will be patronized! Unless of course you ask me nicely for a tip or my opinion. Then I will be glad to give you more information.
How does one become a comic book guy?
In my case, my brother and I went shopping in Kabooom Comic Shop every week and we talked extensively with Patrik, the shopkeeper. Our interest in comics probably led him to ask us if we would like to help out twice a month (Friday evenings and Saturdays). As the shop and inventory grew a full time employee became a necessity so I took the opportunity and became a comic seller.
What will customers find in your shop?
We are specialists in US comics. We import them directly from the states and receive a delivery every two weeks. In addition to comics we also sell many collectable card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh or Pokemon and board games, which have been experiencing a renaissance for a few years. We also organize many tournaments for the aforementioned collectible card games and board games evenings.
Which five comics should everyone have at home?
Whew... difficult question. In my opinion, the following five:
Watchmen - classic par excellence, questions the whole superhero myth. Preacher - for people who like black humour and are not squeamish about religious issues. Punk Rock Jesus - Incredibly drawn and socially critical. Murder Falcon - If you love metal and like a surprisingly emotional story, this is for you! Thor - To be precise, the current run by Jason Aaron. Probably the best run in decades.
Marvel or DC?
Well, I've always been a Thor fanboy, so I have to say Marvel. Mythology paired with super artwork and, as I already mentioned, an epic run by Jason Aaron, make this answer pretty clear.
I've told you before but another warning can't hurt. Fraudsters are active on all housing platforms in Switzerland. Also on my pages. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee that all offers are genuine. I do my best to blacklist any i catch but

I've just been refused entry to a cafe in Zurich because their Vaccine app doesn't recognise my UK vaccination certificate.
