Everyone loves food don’t they? And people also love festivals? How about streets? They’re great for walking or driving. So why not combine them into a Street Food Festival? That’s right Ronsters, this Thursday will see the opening of the Street Food Garten at Mica’s Garten. 20 different food trucks will be there with lashings of beer and other yummy drinks. And best of all, it’s open until the end of July.

What could be better than sitting outside, enveloped by the inky blackness of the night sky and listening to waves lap against the shore of the lake? The only way to make it better is to add a good film. Fortunately you can do just that this Thursday as Rote Fabrik are showing the film, «I Hired A Contract Killer» as part of their Film am See series.

Despite a tortuous set of rules governing club openings mega awesome club Hive is opening its doors this Friday. Music comes from the HS12 DJ collective who made their name with parties at Heimstrasse 12. (See what they did? Heimstrasse 12…HS 12.) There is a pretty hefty line up of DJ’s (far to many to name here,) so check out their event for the full DJ list.

As i have said on countless occasions the best way of getting around the city is by bike. Good for your health, good for the environment and doesn’t clog up the roads. Once again on Saturday Pro Velo Zurich is giving you a great opportunity to get a bargain bike with its «Velobörse». Alternatively, if you are planing on upgrading, you could try to sell your old bike but you do have to get there a little bit earlier. Good luck with the new wheels.

Rost und Gold have been a fixture selling interesting objets d’art, lamps and furniture near to Manesseplatz for as long as i can remember. (which i’m afraid to say is getting shorter by the day,) Unfortunately they are closing their doors at the end of July so they are trying to shift any remaining stock over the course of the next month.

Have you ever tried boba tea? Until Friday i had never experienced this Taiwanese speciality but fortunately a new boba and balloons take-away has opened up on Talacker. Bobar is creating a whole raft of different boba teas with a plethora of toppings and flavours but, most importantly, with a firm eye on use of organic products, less sugar (unless you ask for it of course,) and sustainability. I tried a «Viktor», a jasmin tea with elderflower, mint and cucumber and with the fun little bubbles bursting in my mouth, my mind was blown. If you are passing by give them a try.
