Do you like to watch people diving, tumbling and rolling? No, i am not talking about the football but rather the «Offene Bühne» which is hosted in the Zirkusquartier. Now it’s a bit late to enter yourselves but it does give you the opportunity to check out the talents of all those lovely Zurich folk.

We have a date for my Rooftop Day. Yay! Put it in your diaries folks, the 21st of August is the day that the gardens, courtyards and roof terraces are opened for an almighty party. And boy do we need it. But we need you too! Do you have a garden that would be a great location? Or does your roof terrace release the green eyed monster in people with it views of the lake or alps. The good folks at Timeless put on some memorable shows in the Plaza last year, combining live acts with classic recordings from the Montreaux Jazz Festival. This year they are going bigger and better with shows from the 1st until the 17th of July, using the fantastic venue X-Tra. «But why are you mentioning it now Ron?» I hear you cry. Well, tickets sell out fast and i wanted to give you lovely Ronsters a head start.

Tim Lefebvre has played bass with just about everyone. David Bowie, John Mayer and Elvis Costello to name but a few. This Tuesday and Wednesday he is hitting the stage at Moods with pianist Michael Wollny, drummer Christian Lillinger and sax player Emile Parisien. The music merges electronica with energetic improvisation so i am pretty certain you will witness a unique performance.

Last week i wrote about a new ice cream pop up in the Niederdorf but let’s face it, when the sun is shining you don’t want to have to schlepp over to the other side of the city, you need your delicious, cooling, «gelato» now.
