I always enjoy a bit of comedy and this Thursday the Comedyhaus near to Albisriederplatz is hosting Romanian comedian Victor Pãtrãşcan. Now Victor describes the show as dirty jokes from a dirty immigrant and also professes to having learned English from «Scooby Doo» which i really must see. Local comedians Benjamin Delahaye and Chris Darwa complete the lineup.

Don’t fancy laughing? Then watch a film about the climate and energy crisis and be uplifted instead. Rote Fabrik are showing the short film «We The Power» which highlights the expansion of small community led energy projects in Europe and shows the people who are finding ingenious and radical solutions the problem.

For most of you lovely young Ronsters the Woodstock festival is something you have read about or seen in old videos. Well, Theatre Rigiblick are presenting a show that will give you an opportunity to experience a small flavour of one of the most infamous festivals ever but without the mud, hippies and LSD.

Every now and then i like to do something to help the wonderfully creative people of Zurich realise their dreams and get their projects afloat. And when i saw one of the projects combine three of my favourite things, beer, beer and beer, i thought i must let everyone know about it. Bierwerk Züri is a small, independent brewery and they are currently crowdfunding their new premises in Europaallee with Crowdify with some great goodies that can help them get the project of the ground. So said the great Pablo Picasso and if you, like me, could use a touch of soul hoovering then head down to the Hotel Europe, the venue for an exhibition curated by former New York exhibition organiser Gianni Jetzer, and entitled, «Love in the time of…». The exhibition explores the dichotomy between love and intimacy and the current crisis and features over twenty international artists.

It’s so nice to see a new restaurant open and it’s even nicer for me to be able to share my dining experiences with you lovely Ronsters. Last week i had the pleasure of experiencing the new Japanese restaurant Ooki Pavillion which resides a stones throw from the Letzigrund tram stop.

Finally it feels like summer is upon us and what better way is there of celebrating than having an ice cream. Here's the scoop, Glace Garage, a new pop up from Saftlade in the Niederdorf, have everything you need to keep cool with some amazing flavours including ginger, yoghurt and honey and, (i’ve got to try this,) wasabi as well as all the classic flavours. And they have some fantastic toppings too.
