If the performing arts feed your soul then get ready for a binge. The annual Theatre Spektakel festival opens its door this Thursday with Music, Theatre and, well, all kinds of artistic events. The event takes place at the beautiful location of Landiwiese and there will be the ever present food trucks and other victuals. Check out their website for a full list of events.

If you are like me and love exploring the city Nextzürich are organising a walk through « fantastic,» Seefeld. Rather than just wander about they organise small tasks for you as you explore the area. A great and fun way to learn more about the city.

Zurich has loads of «mini-festivals,» and guess what? There is another one happening this weekend. The triangle of buildings formed by Ankerstrasse, Zweierstrasse and Gartenhofstrasse are hosting the « Dreiecks-Fest» with food, drinks, DJ’s and live music.

Did i mention Zurich has lots of mini festivals? Well there is another small festival being held at Idaplatz with the imaginative title of « Idaplatzfest.» There will be a program of live music and DJ’s on Saturday. Sunday’s program reflects kids more with a kids flea market and other activities so if you need to keep the rug rats busy, Sunday’s the day.

This Saturday the club Vieri will be opening their doors. Okay, they were open before but that was just a test. Any hoo, they are opening again with a brand new second floor. Look forward to some great house and techno DJ’s.

Ale and laughter. They go together like love and marriage or even a horse and carriage. This Sunday, the Alehouse-Palmhof are hosting English standup comedy…sorry, free English standup comedy. The price is right, the beer is cold, what more can you ask for?

I always associated mini golf with slightly dilapidated courses in Spain and France where the ball never ran true and luck rather than skill decided most games. But did you know there is a pro mini golf circuit and there is even a short documentary film ( Kleingolf) which follows some of the Swiss pro players?
