Well, I got to know Christina, the owner of Sleepy Yogi, through my workplace. And as you get to know her, you will instantly realize her calm, welcoming and warm-hearted sense of life. Currently Christina gets certificated as yoga therapist (focus on depressions). She finally oppened her yoga studio in the heart of Zurich. And I already took a class with her. Her classes are filled with serenity, cute jokes, a lot of smiles and love. You'll leave refreshed. (maybe a little sweaty aswell though) ;) give her studio a try, she won't let you down!
It’s cold out and winter is upon us so it is time for that most Swiss winter tradition, fondue. So i have come up with a few of my favourite locations around the city for this cheesy treat. Now, if you are a tourist or are new to fondue

3. A Trip Up The Sihl
I love the Sihl valley. In spite of its close proximity to the city it still feels rugged and remote. Let’s face it, all there is is a river and a railway line. But nothing makes a good walk better than knowing there is cold drink and a

As the run up to Christmas approaches, as well as socialising it’s also a good time to reflect on those less fortunate than ourselves. Zurich has around 1000 people living in asylum centres, many of whom have escaped war torn countries and are now living in a country where they may not even understand the language. Thankfully, through zuerischekt.ch , you can do a little bit to make them feel welcome, either by making a donation or creating a Christmas package with some gifts and a card. It’s a great way to spread a bit of joy at this time of year.
Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world. The educational system is rather weak, especially on the level of the vocational training there aren't many possibilities. Most children leave primary or secondary school and start working somewhere without a solid or even without any training at all.
During Covid-19 the situation became even worse. Schools are/were closed for about 18 months. Many children started to work during this period and will not return to school. Without reasonable training it will be very difficult to find a job where they can earn for themselves or their families in the future.
