Normally I would recommend a gig (or maybe two,) but there is so much going on this week and i’d feel bad about missing anything out. So i have come up with a listicle, (as it’s mainly pop music should I call it a popsicle?) of shows happening this weekend and into next week. 

First Up, Sugar Candy Mountain are headlining the Bogen F tonight. Retro, minimalistic and slightly surfy, i’ve loved this band since i first heard their track «Windows» back in early 2017.

Thursday 7pm, Bogen F, Viaduktstrasse 7, 8005

Back to the Bogen F. This Friday producer and DJ, «Ross From Friends» is hitting the stage with a live electronica set. Curious about the name? Apparently a DVD of friends got stuck in the studio DVD player. Love it!

At, (arguably,) the other end of the musical spectrum Switzerland’s own Dirty Sound Magnet are hitting the Photobastei. Lo-Fi, bluesy and psychedelic.

Friday 8pm, Photobastei, Sihlquai 125, 8005

Finally, (and on a completely different note,) Disco/Soul legends Sister Sledge, (although it now appears to be the whole family now,) are playing the Kaufleuten. They had some massive hits, (which you can check out on this playlist.) Look forward to an enormous «We Are Family» singalong.
