Overnight oats+ 1/2 cup oats+ almond milk (enough to cover the oats)+ 2 tea spoons frooggies berry powderThe night before. Mix all the ingredients and store in an airtight container in your fridge. FroYo+ 1/2 frozen banana+ 4-5 frozen apricots+ 1/4 cup almond milk+ 2-3 table spoons plain yoghurt Blend the FroYo ingredients and top the oats immediately.Granola+ 1 cup oats+ 1-2 table spoons coconut oil+ 1 table spoon yacon syrup (or honey/maple syrup)+ 1 table spoon apple juice+ Chopped Nuts, nuts, nuts (as much as you like)Melt the coconut oil. Add the yacon syrup and apple juice. Combine everything well, maybe you will have to add a little more water when you think it's too dry. Or add a little more yacon syrup, in case you prefer it sweeter. bake the granola for around 20-30 minutes (180)Instead of salt I added some salted cashew nuts to the granola. I love the combination of sweet and salty! Just make sure to use palm oil free nuts! (Cancer risk)

honey lavender cocktail
lavender honey syrup + 1 cup local honey + 1 cup water + juice of 1 lemon + a bundle of lavender buds Add the honey, water and lemon juice to a sauce pan. Stir to combine and heat over medium high. Bring to a boil point. Reduce the heat and add the lavender. Simmer for about 30', until the texture starts to thicken. Let cool and then pour through a strainer or cheese cloth. Store the syrup in a covered bottle or jar. Ones completely cool place into your fridge.
For the cocktail I just added 1cl of Gin, a huge ice cube and 2cl of the syrup. In addition to it you can add some lemon juice. fill up the glass with sparkling water or tonic water, whatever you like better. I go for sparkling water since I get to enjoy a SodaStream at home.

Mocha smoothie bowl
Oh my dear coffee, how much I need you at the moment! But since I try to get myself ready while my husband is still at home, there's sometimes no time to prepare a cup of coffee. So here's my solution for a 2 in 1 breakfast and coffee meal. I did just throw my portion of caffeine inside my smoothie bowl. The best thing about it? You can easily prepare it the night before and freeze it. It's done in 10 minutes and tastes super super delicious!
Mocha breakfast smoothie bowl + 1 frozen banana + 2 table spoons oats + 2-3 table spoons coconut milk + 1 table spoon cocoa powder (unsweetened) + 1-2 tea spoon coffee beans (depending on how much caffeine you like / need) + 1 table spoon almond butter (unsweetened) blend everything till smooth and creamy! in case it's too liquid and you'd like to eat it right away> you can freeze it for 10 minutes. if you prefer to eat it another time freeze the smoothie in a bowl without the topping. topping; + raspberries + granola of your choice mash the raspberries with a fork. top the smoothie with the raspberries and granola of your choice.

edamame hummus: quick and easy!
WEEKEND! here's a super easy recipe for some tasty hummus. perfect to share with friends. enjoy, have a glass of white wine with it and lay back!
ingredients + 1 cup edamame (did you know that there are Swiss edamame?) + 1 handful roasted cashews + 1 table spoon olive oil + 1 table spoon water + 1 table spoon tahini + 1-2 cloves garlic + salt + pepper recipe cook the edamame for 2-3 minutes in hot water, let them cool down. in the meanwhile you can already roast the cashews in the oven (180°) for around 10 minutes. make sure to stir them occasionally (otherwise they'll turn out black) ;) Now peal the edamame and throw all the ingredients into your blender. blend till smooth and creamy. you might want to add a little more water to it. In my recipe I used two garlic cloves. To me it was a little too much.. but some people like it that strong ;) and it's healthy - for sure. drizzle a little bit of olive oil over it. serve with fresh bread and veggie sticks.

COOFFEE: COFFEE in the city
I love my neighbourhood. And sometimes it's hard to leave it, because there's already so much to do and see. While being in Greece I read of that new coffee shop which just opened not too far away from Stauffacher. So I was actually not that sad to return back home, since you know - I go crazy for speciality coffee. The guys from Stoll Kaffee (a local coffee roasting company) finally opened their own shop. One of the owners (he's a chef) kindly explained me their brunch menu (Saturday only > careful, closed on Sundays). And it did sound mouthwatering. The menu seems to be a little different every weekend.. But you'll surely get an egg on brioche. The shop by the way reminds me of my favourite places in Los Angeles. The interior is pretty minimalistic and I love that they got plenty of magazines to read. It's located directly next to VIU eyewear. So I finally tried on some new glasses and I got to take them back home to try on again. (it got delivered by mail - and you can order four pair of glasses at a time).
Ah and the coffee did not let me down! (as expected) :)

Yoga Studio Sleepy Yogi: by Christina Hottinger
Well, I got to know Christina, the owner of Sleepy Yogi, through my workplace. And as you get to know her, you will instantly realize her calm, welcoming and warm-hearted sense of life. Currently Christina gets certificated as yoga therapist (focus on depressions). She finally oppened her yoga studio in the heart of Zurich. And I already took a class with her. Her classes are filled with serenity, cute jokes, a lot of smiles and love. You'll leave refreshed. (maybe a little sweaty aswell though) ;) give her studio a try, she won't let you down!
