Pawn-ography

I’ll openly admit that i’m terrible at chess (i get beat by 4 year olds,) and had considered it the height of tedium but Netflix latest offering has got me lunging for the board. I’m talking of course about their new mini series, «The Queens Gambit». 

The 5 part series stars the superb Anya Taylor-Joy as orphan Elizabeth Harmon who struggles with her past, addiction and her prodigious talents in the male dominated world of chess. A great story with some fine performances. Get binge watching.
