If you enjoyed the Halloween party on ice, the Dolder ice skating rink is coming at you with another – rather massive – attraction that you don’t want to miss. This Thursday, the traditional enormous Christmas tree with giant Christmas balls and light chains with over 11000 LED lights will be set up on the middle of the rink. Skating around the Christmas tree is a truly magical experience that is a staple in my winter activities and one of the main reasons why i love winter in Züri. You can bring your own pair of ice skates, but you can also rent them there. Golden tip, if you’re a beginner (like me), i find the hockey ice skates give the most stability. Grab some friends and go in for some gliding fun and mulled wine. Can’t wait to see you there!

Over 144,000 private homes in Ukraine have been damaged so far by Russia's brutal war of aggression. And, unfortunately, more and more are being damaged every day. Windows have been broken particularly frequently, as they burst even in distant explosions due to the resulting shock waves.
Before the arrival of winter, we would like to bring as many windows as possible to Ukraine so that they can be quickly installed there and people do not have to freeze in their homes. After all, winters in Ukraine are usually long and cold.
While prices for building materials in Ukraine have skyrocketed since the Russian invasion, thousands of high-quality used windows are disposed of in Switzerland every year.
In close partnership with the Basel-based association RE-WIN, we collect these used but still fully functional windows in Switzerland and bring them to Ukraine in the spirit of the circular economy. There, the windows are then quickly installed.
Libereco is recognized as a non-profit organization and will gladly provide all crowdfunders from Switzerland and Liechtenstein with a donation receipt for their tax return for their contribution to the window transports.
