I've told you before but another warning can't hurt. Fraudsters are active on all housing platforms in Switzerland. Also on my pages. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee that all offers are genuine. I do my best to blacklist any i catch but I also want to show you how to recognise fake ads.
Location, location, location Be smart, if the price seems very low, be suspicious! If you’re new to Zurich compare this offer to others. Of course there are still some truly cheap and wonderful flats in Zurich. But just be aware! And check the address to make sure that it actually exists.
«Unfortunately, i live abroad…» Often a sure sign for a fraud, be suspicious and never, ever hand over money before you seen the flat and received an official contract.
Pictures Fake ads often just show photos from the inside. Just do a reverse picture search on Google to see if the displayed images were already used for other flats.
Air bnb Currently, many fraudster use Airbnb. Scenario A: They rent a flat via Airbnb and pretend that it‘s their own. Tricky to find that out. Just make sure you don’t transfer money to a personal account. Scenario B: They pretend that the deal is through Airbnb but they sent you to a fake website. In either case, if it feels weird – back off!
Tell me If you discover a fake ad on my page, let me know. Either send me an email to [email protected] and I’ll help you asap. Or let me know via the Spam-Button (see picture below), and i’ll have a closer look.
So…this weekend will see yet another popular vote with Covid once again providing the issue and plenty of controversy. There are also some pretty important local issues that need to be ironed out which will affect the cities road users.
2. A Trip Up The Sihl
I love the Sihl valley. In spite of its close proximity to the city it still feels rugged and remote. Let’s face it, all there is is a river and a railway line. But nothing makes a good walk better than knowing there is cold drink and a
3. Take That...
I don’t know about you Ronsters but i seem to collect an enormous amount of electronic devices. And as time has moved on, less and less of them work or they have become obsolete. But what to do with drawers full of broken

2. Lucky Dumpling: Authentic Chinese
6 years ago we welcomed 'Dini Mueter' to the Langstrasse. This summer, the bar and restaurant underwent a refurbishment and just reopened its doors with a new concept and a new name. Well, actually the new name is also the concept: Lucky
3. Ooki: All the way from Tokyo
Whenever a new Japanese restaurant opens somewhere, you can be sure that I’m not far behind. This new locale is called Ooki and serves gyoza, ramen, tempura, udon, Japanese curries and sake. The interior is very authentic, the
I've just been refused entry to a cafe in Zurich because their Vaccine app doesn't recognise my UK vaccination certificate.
The owners of the app tell me there are no plans to fix this.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
