Who Are You? I am Thomas, 59 years young and have been running the AMAZING Toys Comic Shop for the past 15 years. I am also a blogger on comics under the name of Captain Collector.
How does one become a comic book guy?
By leaving the world of work and taking a plunge into freezing cold water.
Do you look like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons? Do you know as much as he does? And are you so condescending to your customers?
I look better, but I probably know a little less about comics. I'm definitely not as condescending as he is. Never.
What will customers find in your shop?
Many American superheroes, comics by Marvel and DC, graphic novels and action figures. In Switzerland we probably have the largest assortment of American comics from the Silver Age (1960s) and Bronze Age (1970s).
Which five comics should everyone have at home?
Hmmmm, very difficult. In every phase of my life there were comics that were sometimes more important and sometimes less important. But let’s try this:
-Something from Tintin (I like the two part moon story a lot.) -Planetary -Batman: Dark Knight -Watchmen -Tomb of Dracula Marvel or DC?
Marvel, I prefer Marvel’s narrative style, graphics and storyline better.

I've just been refused entry to a cafe in Zurich because their Vaccine app doesn't recognise my UK vaccination certificate.
The owners of the app tell me there are no plans to fix this.
