Vegan fondue doesn't have it easy in Switzerland as we live in a country that is proud of it’s melted cheese traditions and fondue is as much a part of winter life as Christmas and Skiing. But the next time you have a fondue you no longer need to exclude your vegan friends as there are now some very good vegan fondues on the market. I recently tried three offerings from Pakka, Yolo, and New Roots and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised. The nut version is just as creamy and comforting as a traditional Moitié Moitié and doesn't throw me into a food coma. And also with the added bonus that your house doesn't smell like cheese's armpit afterwards. But that’s not all. Wan’t to make you own vegan fondue? Then try this recipe, (It’s in German unsurprisingly,) from Eat-This.org which is made from cashews. No everyone can get involved with fondue. Yay!
