Christmas is not just about puppies and Glühwein. The start of the colder months sees your average Swiss citizen (and me for that matter,) lunging for a bucket of melted cheese. But where to get it? You could head to the local supermarket but i have discovered a wonderful website where you can really pimp your fondue and create it to your taste. Stronger cheese? No problem? Spicy chilli? Sold. Want beer, wine or even prosecco. Pour it in. But best of all it’s locally sourced cheese milk and products from Einsiedeln in Canton Schweiz. Be aware that the website is in German but it the fondue creator is fantastic and the website is great.
