Windows for Ukraine _
The construction industry is responsible for 40% of global CO2 emissions and generates 40% of the world's man-made waste. The "Windows for Ukraine" project shows in a practical way how constructive action can be taken in crisis situations. Our aim is to make reuse a long-term component of the public reconstruction strategy in crisis areas in order to promote reuse locally and by supplying more components to Ukraine. In this way, we can save CO2, significantly reduce construction waste and at the same time prevent resource scarcity.
With the "Windows for Ukraine" project, we are showing how social and ecological emergencies can be tackled at the same time: quickly and cost-effectively.
Our work is only possible thanks to our partners: The NGOs Proactive Generation, Angels of Salvation, Dobrobat and Co-Haty in Ukraine, educational institutions such as ETH, FHNW as well as actors in Switzerland and Liechtenstein such as the Stiftung Lebenswertes Liechtenstein, Libereco, and numerous architectural offices, construction companies, SMEs, craft businesses, private supporters, property developers, and many more.
