I am a volunteer at PAFI, a small foundation in Switzerland that supports 200 children from an underprivileged community in Brazil to go to school and eat a warm meal per day. We are raising money to supply our fellow Anglican chaplaincy of Christ Church Kyiv with wind-up USB chargers, radios and torches. This will help them during the winter, especially as attacks to power infrastructure increase. Our aim is to buy 10 wind-up charging devices which can be shared among the most vulnerable members of the church congregation and wider community. Each device costs €20; we will buy as many as we can and any money leftover will be donated to the Bishop in Europe’s Advent appeal.
