I am a volunteer at PAFI, a small foundation in Switzerland that supports 200 children from an underprivileged community in Brazil to go to school and eat a warm meal per day. Recently, we fulfilled the children's dream of a sports field. To complete the project, install plumbing and buy sport equipment we are looking for some additional funding. Because we don't have any administrative costs, every cent benefits the children directly. Here is the link to the project: https://www.crowdify.net/de/projekt/sport-pausenplatz
Does anyone know organisations and foundations in Switzerland that we could contact to supporting our project?
It’s the combination of features that makes them unique.
No more spilling, the Golyo ICE tray can be easily filled through the filling opening and is absolutely leak-proof afterwards. This means it can be placed in the freezer in any position, even upright next to the pizza!
Since silicone is inherently flexible, the single ice globes can be easily removed from the ice tray.
Just pull off the lid, apply a little pressure from the back and the ice globe will almost jump out in your direction.
Large ice globes
A globe is the geometric shape that has the smallest surface area in relation to its volume. Therefore, this shape is ideal for "ice cubes".
Because of the small surface, an ice globe melts more slowly, so the drink is cooled longer and less watered down. The Golyo ICE globes have a diameter of 4.5cm. For the vast majority of drinks, one piece is quite enough. When I make my beloved iced coffee, one globe is enough to keep the drink cool, and by the time I've finished it, it's not even fully melted
Silicone is based on silicon, i.e. quartz sand, and not on petroleum like "normal" plastics. It is inherently flexible, so no plasticisers are needed.
Silicone is considered to be absolutely harmless; it is not for nothing that it is often used in medicine, e.g. for heart valves.
Moreover, silicone does not decompose into microplastics should it get into the environment.
It is my concern that this will not be another China import product. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a manufacturer in Switzerland who had the right infrastructure and was willing to produce it. That's why I chose a company just around the corner in Germany.
All the photos and the video show handmade prototypes.
