Combine a German language course with cultural immersion and a feeling of holiday
Stay 1-12 days with your German language teacher, Carolina Bütler, in Mund, a traditional alpine village above Brig/Visp, in the magnificent Unesco World Heritage area Jungfrau - Aletsch.
Acquire an introduction to the German language or extend and sharpen your existing language skills under my professional guidance: Practice the skills you need and get professional feedback. Use your German during common meals and other activities (e.g. cultural visits, hiking, snow-shoeing etc). Get to know the language and daily life of Switzerland first hand.
M.A., M.Ed., 35 years of language teaching experience, the last 13 years at Zurich University of Applied Sciences ( zhaw.ch ). Tailored courses for academics (steep learning progression, references to other languages). Personal interests: sports (ski touring, hiking), nature (gardening etc.), Swiss politics.
My modern wooden house is situated above the old village. The house has a gorgeous view of the Valais Alps (from Bortelhorn over Monte-Leone-Fletschhorn- Matterhorn to Weisshorn) and is surrounded by a large natural garden with meadows, fruit trees, berry bushes, and a herb and vegetable garden.
On the upper floor of the house there is an open kitchen, the living and dining room, and a balcony and terrace for common use. Your 19m2 bedroom with its spacious en-suite bathroom is also on the upper floor and separate from my private rooms.
