I just did a cafe opening in Zollikerberg actually - they requested a specifically french repertoire, ranging from classical love songs (Jacques Brel, Piaf..) to sultry pop (Brigitte Bardot). I can also include classical guitar pieces or light opera (with or without guitar) which works well at weddings I have played at as background music. Further still, I can weave in my own songs, which come in various languages (French, Italian, Spanish, German, English) and range from entertaining/upbeat ditties to peaceful/sweet melodies.
