The “City in Transition festival,” which starts this Tuesday aims to highlight and address the numerous problems facing the world we live in, from climate change and sustainability to the lack of economic and social inclusion of refugees and asylum seekers. There will six days of events with these issues in mind. Check them out on their Facebook page and get involved.

This Tuesday Kaufleuten hosts (deep breath,) German born, Fijian/Indian/Malaysian but London based singer songwriter, Tanita Tikaram. In the late eighties at just 19 years old she had hits with «Good Tradition,» and «Twist in my Sobriety,» and will be presenting songs from her new, upcoming record. I hear that the gig is pretty close to selling out so get in quick and get one of the last few tickets.
Tuesday 8pm, Kaufleuten, Pelikanplatz, 8001
So…after a brief (ish) summer sojourn Stall 6 will be presenting their A.S.S for all to see. Of course i mean the American Stand-Up Show and not their well rounded rumps. A.S.S. are kicking off the season with Croatian-Canadian, Berlin based comic Daniel-Ryan Spaulding, a man who received 4 star reviews from the Edinburgh fringe and has over 3 million Youtube hits.Sunday 7:30pm, Stall 6, Gessneralle 8, 8001
I love break dancing but unfortunately break dancing doesn’t love me. Too many bruises and injuries so this year, when Soul Cypher host their annual dance competition, i’m just going to watch from the sidelines. As well as some amazing dancing there is always great music and DJ’s involved. Head down to the Kanzlei Club and check it out.
Saturday 11:30am - 4am, Kanzlei Club, Kanzleistrasse 56, 8004
